The school serves a multi ethnic community where parents and families are very much involved with the life of the school. We have high expectations for our children and will support and challenge them to achieve their very best.
We have a fantastic learning environment which includes wonderful facilities for out of doors learning including a school allotment and a Forest School area. The school also has its own mini bus which is regularly used for educational visits
Our aim is to provide a high quality education for all with a broad and balanced curriculum. We want children to be excited about their learning and to enjoy coming to school. Our curriculum is thematic, with themes that change every half term. All subjects link wherever possible to a theme making the learning journey seamless. Learning is brought to life by the experience of a visit or a special visitor coming into school.
We firmly believe that learning is a journey and we aim to create memorable experiences that accelerate childrens’ understanding and achievements. Our children are encouraged to challenge themselves, aim high and achieve high standards in all areas of the curriculum.
Our pupils behave extremely well and the school provides good support for their pastoral needs. Our behaviour motto is RESPECT, for ourselves, for others and for our environment. Children enjoy keeping the Golden Rules and are rewarded with Golden Time each Friday, where they choose from a range of activities.
The school has a very caring ethos with excellent relationships between staff and children. We are always available to give help and support to our children and their families.
