About Our School
We have our very own woodland walk as well as a large vegetable garden where the children enjoy growing their own produce.
We are fortunate enough to have a large hall, a well stocked library with cosy reading areas and a state of the art ICT suite. Each classroom has an interactive whiteboard and laptops available for pupils to use.
The school has its own kitchen and delicious meals are cooked on the premises. A salad bar is available for all the children to access during their lunchtime. Children have their lunch in the dining room and then enjoy taking part in a wide range of activities organised by our play leaders.
We aim for our curriculum to provide children with exciting and enjoyable learning experiences.
Skills and knowledge of different subjects are brought together into a thematic context for learning.
Cookery, learning out of doors and modern foreign languages are an integral part of our curriculum.
Local visits are organised and there are many opportunities to work with the surrounding community.
Our classrooms are rich and stimulating places to learn, with lots of resources and displays that help children to learn.
How Does ICT Support Learning?
At Owler Brook NI school we view ICT as a fundamental part of the curriculum. We aim to transform our learning environment into one that is ICT rich. Our school has wireless internet access throughout.
Our aim is to ensure that all our children leave Owler Brook NI school fully equipped for life in a hi-tech and ever developing ICT world.
Home Learning
All children are expected to continue their learning at home. This may be in the form of researching their class theme or
discussing something with a member of the family. We encourage
all children to read at home every day.
Child Protection/Safeguarding Children
Our safeguarding procedures are rigorous in order to ensure
a safe and happy learning environment for all our children
